Thane Joyal

Thane is committed to helping cooperative boards achieve excellence by improving relationships within the board, and between the board and the cooperative’s general manager, members, and external stakeholders. She is particularly interested in helping boards to create structures that support them in governing their cooperatives. She works with boards through all phases of their development, including Policy Governance training.

“I enjoy the interplay of people and politics with food and community, and working to shift and improve those relationships,” Thane said. “I like helping an organization change its culture and bring in new energy. My passion is to channel that to address their members’ needs.”
