Nina’s passion for co-ops comes from her belief that empowered people working together can meet the needs of their community and help create a better world. She is dedicated to helping coop boards serve their cooperatives with care and excellence.
While serving on her co-op board, she has worked to improve board-GM relations, facilitated major policy revisions and helped guide the co-op through a major expansion, including design, construction, and store relocation.
Nina has experience in Board leadership and group facilitation in co-op, church and educational settings. She likes to use experiential exercises in which people have fun while they learn about group dynamics and overcoming obstacles. Nina is particularly interested in helping boards with Policy Governance and assisting Boards through store expansions.
Nina is in her second term on the Board and has served two years as Board president of Mississippi Market in St. Paul, Minn. She joined the CBLD team in 2009.
